Outreach

In collaboration with DOST-PCHRD (Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development), our lab had the opportunity to host a brain awareness initiative involving 20 Philippine Science High School students, last July 2025. We delved into the world of neuroscience through introductory lectures and interactive booths. Students observed actual rat brain sections under the microscope, experienced action potential demonstrations, and participated in optical illusion exercises. The day ended with a tour around our behavioral neuroscience laboratory, providing a glimpse into the research that we do. We hope to have inspired the future neuroscientists of the Philippines.
